A wedding is one of the most precious and most memorable days of your life.  So the decision on what photographer you will chose to capture these moments is very important.  Many couples look for a particular style, some look for experience, others look for price.  I try to incorporate many different aspects into my wedding photography but for the most part, I keep it simple.

This is one of the most special days of your life and I am a strong believer that you shouldn't be taking hours on end trying to perfect a certain pose.  Capture the happiness as it happens and let the memories last forever!

Our wedding coverage consists of an entire day of photography service at your wedding.  I set aside my whole day and if it is only a few hours, then I consider it an easy day! I start out by arriving at the location where the bride and her wedding party are getting ready and photograph the bride having her make-up applied, hair designed, dress prepared and posed shots of the beautiful bride getting ready for her special day.

I will then photograph your ceremony at the location of your choice.  Ceremony pictures consist of the bride and the wedding party walking down the aisle, the father standing with the bride, the groom standing with the best man, etc.

After your ceremony, we will complete wedding formals.  These are preplanned between you and your fiancée.  These are arranged/posed images and routinely take approximately 30-45 minutes, depending on the amount of formals that you choose.

After the formal photos, we will head over to your reception and begin capturing those special moments such as the introduction of husband and wife, wedding party introduction, First Dance, Father & Daughter Dance, Mother & Son Dance, Apron Dance, Cutting of the Cake and many photographs of friends and family at your reception.

The following day, I will begin the process of editing the images from your wedding.  The editing process can take anywhere from a few days to 2 weeks.  Under no circumstances will it ever take longer than 2 weeks to complete your images.  Nothing is more frustrating to me as a photographer than when I hear nightmares of it taking couples waiting several months to get their wedding photographs.

You will receive a complete set of high resolution images on a CD or DVD with full printing rights so you can print your images at the photo lab of your choice.  You will also receive a password protected link on my website, in case you decide to purchase professional high quality prints.  The photo labs that I use are high quality professional labs and I have been using them for many years. We strongly recommend that you provide your friends and family with the log on information and password so that they can see the images and purchase the images that they want from your wedding.

Frequently Asked Questions

How far do you travel for weddings?

Most of the weddings that I routinely shoot are in Wicomico, Worcester, Somerset, Talbot, and Dorchester County, Maryland.

Do you offer albums/prints in any of your packages?

My wedding service is unique.  When I shoot your wedding, you will receive a complete set of images burned on a CD or DVD.  You will be issued a print release that allows you to print your images where you want.  You will also have a password-protected link on my website in case you choose to have professional prints of your wedding printed.  This means you can purchase professional prints from my website or you can choose your own photo lab!  This allows me to keep my prices reasonable and not charge my clients an arm and a leg.

Do we have to purchase the images from you or can we purchase a CD with print release?

All of my weddings are exactly the same.  You will receive a set of high-resolution images burned on a CD or DVD and you will receive a print release that allows you to print the images at the photo lab of your choice.  We do not require our clients to purchase anything additional and we don't even try to "up-sell" anything to you.  We have one price and that is it!

Will my images be posted on social networking sites?

This is totally up to the bride and groom.  Prior to your wedding, we will talk about what you want and what you do not want.  Some couples prefer not having their images posted online, that is totally up to you.  Our normal routine is we will provide you with a CD or DVD with your high res images for printing and then we will gladly post the images on our Social Media pages such as Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter if you request it in low res images to fit each Social Media measurement requirement.

What if my family/friends would like to order the images online? Is there a website they go to?

After I edit all of your images, I will provide you with a password-protected link to view and purchase images. All of the images will not be able to be viewed by the public on my website unless they have the password you are provided.  If you choose to give this password to your friends and family, then they can purchase prints from the wedding.  We recommend our clients to do this so they are not bothered by hundreds of family members and friends asking to see the images.

Does it cost extra to have the images edited?

All of the images that I capture at weddings are always edited. There are no additional charges and the cost is part of the final package price you will be quoted.

Will you come for the rehearsal?

I always prefer being able to attend the rehearsal so that I am in tune with the wedding party and wedding planners.  I prefer knowing as much as possible so I can plan accordingly.  There is no charge for me to come to your rehearsal, it is part of the package, and most of all, it allows me the time to prepare for the big day!

How many photographers come with you on the wedding day?

About 90% of the weddings I shoot, I work alone. For the other 10%, I bring my wife to assist me.  This is mostly for very large weddings where I need help setting up formals and capturing large ceremonies.

Do you have backup equipment?

For most weddings, I use two cameras but have several spares in case of emergencies.  I have a total of 5 cameras that I can use for any wedding. Equipment is definitely not an issue :)

What do you wear to your weddings?

For most outside weddings, I wear a pair of dress pants and a polo shirt or a dress shirt.  Over my polo shirt or dress shirt, I wear a photography harness that has two straps for the two cameras I will be using during the day. This is so everyone at the wedding knows that I am the wedding photographer and hopefully prevents them from stepping in the way of me capturing your images.

What forms of payment do you accept?

I accept cash, check, Money Orders, PayPal, Venmo, and credit cards.

How much is the deposit to reserve the date?

For all weddings, I require a $250 deposit to reserve your date.

When is the remaining amount due for the wedding?

The remaining balance is due 7 days prior to the wedding.

If we would like to have several locations for the bride/groom and bridal party photos, do you charge for each additional location on the wedding day?

There is no additional charge for traveling to various locations.

How far in advance do I need to book?

I recommend booking as far in advance as possible to make sure I am available for your date.  Photographers book up fast, especially between April and September, so book far in advance to assure your date.  If you know your date, at least give me a call and find out if I am available.  I normally restrict myself to 2 weddings a month due to the fact that I like to cap myself at a 2-week return on your photos. That means that you would need to call early enough to make sure I am available.  I have couples who reserve my services 2 years in advance!

Can we meet before I book?

The normal routine is we first talk on the phone and decide if you are interested in me shooting your wedding.  Once you decide that I fit the style for your wedding, then I request that we meet for dinner or a coffee to go over the details of the wedding.  During this time, you will receive a wedding contract, wedding questionnaire and you will pay your deposit. This will secure your date and get us started on planning the shoot.

Do you use flash for any of your photography?

This is a touchy subject that I tread lightly with.  Flash photography, in my opinion, is the best way to obtain the highest quality images however many churches do not allow flash photography.  This is something we can talk about at our meeting and decide which way you prefer.  If you choose for me to use flash photography, we will need to get prior approval from the church/location of the ceremony.  The only time I have ever had an issue with using a flash is at some churches.  If they object to using flash, we will still be able to capture amazing images so don't let that be a worry in your mind!!!

Can you send me a list of references?

Yes.  I have a list of references dating back to 2010 that I can provide you.

Can you hold my date without a deposit?

I will hold your date tentatively for 7 days with no deposit. After 7 days, a deposit must be paid to hold the date.

How long does it take to receive my photos after my wedding?

At a normal wedding, I usually get all images edited and available for my clients within 7 days.  Naturally, I always send a nice sneak peek image to the Bride and Groom the following day, so they can show off their memories on social media.  For larger weddings, I tell my clients to allow 14 days.

How many photos should I expect from my wedding day?

This really varies.  I usually tell people that you can expect several hundred photos for a full day of coverage. This can vary depending on shorter weddings and when we are on time restraints.

How many events do you typically shoot on a wedding day?

On your wedding day, you will be the ONLY event I shoot.  When I shoot a wedding, I dedicate all of my attention that day to capturing the images of your special day only.  I don't place time restraints on events and therefore I only schedule one event per day.
